Kia Motor India sold 2 lakh cars in just 17 months, becoming the rapid growing carmakers

Even though the pace of sales in the country’s automobile market is slow for some companies, but some companies are rapidly climbing the ladder of success. Kia Motors, the leading South Korean automaker, launched the Kia Seltos as its first vehicle in August 2019. Now the company has created another record and has sold 2 lakh vehicles in a very short time.

According to information received by Kia Motors, the company achieved this success within just 17 months. The company introduced the Kia Carnival premium MPV as its second vehicle at the last Auto Expo. Although it is a luxury MPV, despite this it managed to grab the customers attention and hold on them.

On the other hand, the company launched its affordable SUV Kia Sonet in the compact SUV segment in September last year. Adorned with a very attractive look, state-of-the-art technology and features, this SUV is getting great response from customers. The price of this SUV ranges between Rs 6.79 lakh and Rs 13.19 lakh.

Kia Motors has sold the highest number of vehicles with 1,06,000 units using UVO technology. This is the company’s own connectivity technology, which the company uses in some variants of its vehicles. This accounts for 53 percent of the company’s total sales. As far as Kia Seltos is concerned, the company has used two petrol engines and one diesel engine in it. It is priced between Rs 9.90 lakh to Rs 17.66 lakh.

In the Kia Sonet, the company has used a 1.2 litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine with a 1.5-litre diesel. Both these SUVs are quite popular in their segment. Apart from this, the company’s only MPV Carnival in the Indian market is priced between Rs 24.95 lakh and Rs 33.95 lakh.
