KTM 390 Adventure unveiled at 2019 EICMA

Finally, KTM has just revealed the KTM Adventure 390 at 2019 EICMA in Milan. The bike is going to launch officially in December this year. The KTM 390 Adventure enters the adventure segment of the company.

The KTM 390 Adventure is powered by the 373cc single-cylinder engine which makes out 44hp of power and 37Nm of torque. There are no more changes in the bike’s design and engine. However, KTM 390 will offer switchable traction control.

The 390 Adventure is different from its basic variant in terms of the steering head angle and trail. The 390 Adventure comes with 63.5 degrees and 98mm steering head angle and trail respectively. The bike comes with 200mm Ground Clearance, 1,430mm wheelbase and with 855mm of seat height. The Weight of the bike is measured at 158Kg. The Bike also comes with a larger fuel tank with capacity of 14.5liters.

The new KTM 390 Adventure gets 100/90-19 tyre as front tyre and 130/80-17 tyre as a rear tyre. The bike comes with USD fork with compression and rebounds adjustability as front suspension and a mono-shock as a rear suspension which can be adjusted for pre-load and rebound.

The expected price of the KTM 390 is around the Rs 3 lakh and the bike is scheduled to launch in the Indian Market in December this year. The bike is going to rival the likes of the BMW G310 GS which is priced at Rs. 3.49 lakh.

Being an adventure-based motorcycle, the 390 Adventure comes with WP APEX 43mm adjustable inverted forks up front with 170mm of travel. For the rear, it features a WP APREX shock absorber with adjustable rebound and spring preload offering 177mm of travel. As for braking, it comes with 320mm single-disc with a radial caliper for the front and a230mm single-piston at the back with a double-piston floating caliper. The motorcycle rides on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels shod with dual-purpose tyres.

KTM is be launching the 390 Adventure in India next month and will be priced competitively against its competitors like the BMW G 310 GS and the Kawasaki Versys X-300.
