CSK vs KXIP IPL 2019: Three player battles to watch

A formidable CSK team takes on Kings XI Punjab in IPL 2019. Punjab have pulled off two wins courtesy of sensational death bowling while their batting has been highly impressive.

On other hand CSK saw their first defeat of IPL season 12 in last game but even then they remain a strong team.

We look at the top three player battles in this match in IPL 2019.

#3. Shami vs Watson:

Mohammad Shami reflected his value by playing a major role in turning around the match against DC. The pacer can be a lethal weapon in Powerplays where his pace and seam movement can make things difficult for the batsmen.

On the other hand, Shane Watson has given CSK quick runs in the Powerplay overs and his role will be the same against Punjab. It will be interesting to see what lengths Shami bowls to Watson. Will he pitch it up and risk getting driven or will he keep it a bit short and expect Watson to take the risk?

#2. Bravo vs Miller:

David Miller has provided considerable strength in Punjab’s middle-order. He hasn’t played highly explosive knocks but has done well to give the franchise decent finishes.

Meanwhile Dwayne Bravo is coming back after being smacked 29 runs off his last over and hence he has some points to prove.

The Bravo vs Miller battle is an mouth watering contest and do watch out for the slower ones as Miller likes pace on the ball.

The KXIP opener missed the last match due to a niggle but should feature in the clash against Chennai. He has been in sublime touch in IPL 2019 so far and has done well in Powerplays.

Another player who has done well in powerplays is Deepak Chahar who has bowled on the trott in powerplays so far. Can Gayle take him on and put Chennai into a difficult situation?
