Sacred Games is a Bollywood thriller crime mystery based on Vikram Chandra’s novel “Sacred Games” published in 2006 directed by Anurag Kashyap, Vikramaditya Motwane and Neeraj Ghaywan who received a National Award for “Masaan.” Varun Grover, Smita Singh, Vasant Nath, Bhaumik Godaliya, Dhruv Narang, Pooja Tolani, and Nihit Bhave served as the scriptwriters. Anurag Kashyap is well known for his crime dramas like “Black Friday” and “Raman Raghav 2.” He is the founder of Phantom Films and released Sacred Games in the same banner. The series launched over 191 countries and available with subtitles in more than 20 languages. Sacred Games premiered season 1 on July 5, 2018, following its second release on August 15, 2019, each having a set of 8 episodes broadcast by Netflix.

Every year “Sacred Games” comes up with a new season. However, the pandemic has halted many events this year. The second season ended up with thrilling suspense and awaited the audience for a sequel. Sacred Games Season 3 Cast

• Saif Alikhan Bollywood’s action hero, as Sartaj Singh, a police officer in Mumbai, is the protagonist of the series. 
• Nawazzudin Siddiqui well known for his crime roles, plays the role of a Gangster Ganesh Gaitonde who troubles the city, the antagonist.  
• To add more beauty and boldness to the drama, Radhika Apte joins the Sacred Games as Agent Anjali Mathur but unfortunately dies in the first season itself. 

We can also expect other characters return to season 3 which include- Kalki Koechlin as Batya Abelman, Pankaj Tripathi as Khanna Guruji, Ranvir Shorey as Shahid Khan. 

Sacred Games Season 3 Plot

Season 2 had a terrible ending, the audience is demanding for a season 3. The first two seasons have received crazy critics and reviews from the audience and created a benchmark for other Bollywood crime dramas. The plot follows the story of a police officer, Sartaj Singh, who gets a call from an anonymous gangster who warns the officer to save his city within 25 days. However, in his investigation, he tries to understand the tactics and unfold the story with his intelligence and planning. Sacred Games remains as the most-watched Indian Web series on Netflix. Also, various sources state the main cast members Saif Alikhan and Nawazzudin Siddiqui hinted that there might not be a third season. Season 3 will be the continuation to season 2’s cliffhanger. 

If Netflix announces season 3, that would be great news to hear for the audience.
