Kota factory reflects the reality of India’s education system and how it tortures the students. At first, the protagonist Vaibhav Pandey looks fragile but later, as he gets triggered with the system, subject and people, he starts to question the system and gets irritated easily.
The second episode is about Vaibhav’s settling in the atmosphere he has entered. He learns to eat mess food, to stay awake whole night, to take people on his side and all other hostel stuff. The stereotypical ‘cool professor’ Jeetu Bhaiya helps Vaibhav to settle. Vaibhav’s roommate geeky Meena also helps him.
Vaibhav makes friends, tries to change his batch, argues with teachers and management and in all this, he learns too much about life.
Last two episodes are about the love interest of Vaibhav, Varthika Ratawal, who happens to be Uday’s girlfriend’s friend. Vaibhav misses a trip with his coaching friends to be with her. Meanwhile, Meena also develops feeling about Meenal (one of the toppers). Till the end of season 1, Vaibhav could not tell Varthika about his feelings.
