James Cameron’s “Avatar 2” first look Unveiled: Here’s all that you need to see

James Cameron has finally unveiled the first glimpse of the futuristic world of the much-anticipated sequel “Avatar 2“. Cameron presented the first look of his forthcoming project at the 2020 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. He revealed some never-seen-before images of multiple settings from Pandora’s opulent future.

The James Cameron film, Avatar is hailed as one of the cinematic marvels of all time. The wait has been longer than ever. It has been more than a decade already since James Cameron’s epic sci-fi fantasy film became the highest-grossing film ever in 2009.

The official Twitter page of Avatar gave the initial foretaste of Cameron’s presentation with a caption that reads

The four images depict different locales within the lush world of Pandora. In the post shared it is written that the images are brand new art pieces for a sneak peek into Avatar 2.

The pictures posted, various sceneries can be seen. The lead ch aracters Jake Sully and Neytiri can be seen in a few of the pictures posted. One image showed several Na’ vi flying low across the water on the backs of banshees. In another, huge chunks of land can be seen floating amidst the beautiful scenery. Another showed large rocks, apparently, floating in the air. Most of the images depicted several large moons visible in the planet’s sky.

Avatar (2009) was the highest-grossing Hollywood film of all times till Avengers: Endgame (2019) surpassed its box-office collections.

It doesn’t seem like a huge leap forward as the movie will release after a gap of 11 years as in an interview with Empire, James Cameron already had hinted that the movie will take a time leap of eight years forward.

Starring Sam Worthington, Sigourney Weaver, Vin Diesel, and Kate Winslet the long-delayed sequel is currently expected to be slated on December 2021. Although, along with AVATAR 2, three more sequels are expected to follow in 2023, 2025 and 2027.
