Criminal is a police procedural anthology series created by George Kay and Jim Field Smith. George Kay served as the writer and directed by Jim Field Smith. The anthology series had a total of twelve episodes shot in four parts- France, Spain, Germany and U.K each containing three episodes. Netflix obtained the rights and renewed the series for a second season.
Netflix had released the official trailer of the film. Criminal Season 2 is all set to premiere on 16 September 2020 with the four parts.

Kit Harington (Game of Thrones) will appear as a suspected criminal. Oscar nominee Sophie Okonedo, Sharon Horgan best known for her comic role in Catastrophe and Pulling, and Kunal Nayyar (The Big Bang Theory).
Katherine Kelly (Coronation Street), Lee Ingleby (Inspector George Gently), Rochenda Sandall (Line of Duty) will reprise their respective roles from Criminal Season 1 as the interrogators.
The plot follows the suspects interrogated by the police, and almost the whole story takes place in the custody. The four interrogators will investigate different cases in different countries- Germany, U.K, France and Spain. Criminal Season 2 might focus on Criminal: the U.K, distinct the first Season.
