After this movie, he was seen in Jagan Shakti’s multi-starrer ‘Mission Mangal’. This movie was about the life of scientists at the Indian Space Research Organisation ( ISRO ) and showcased India’s first interplanetary fleet. It showed how a group of scientists worked tirelessly for a mission related to Mars orbiter. This movie collected the amount of 277 crores which made Akshay’s total box office collection to a total of Rs 480 crore. This was the situation in the first half of this year.

Akshay Kumar’s recent release is ‘Housefull 4’, a comedy-drama that is based on the idea of reincarnation. It has been doing amazing business at the box office even after being in the theatre for more than three weeks. It has collected an astonishing amount of Rs 290 crore in 26 days. This made a total of 770 Crores in Akshay’s collection. His upcoming film ‘Good Newwz’ yet to be released, but report suggests that if this film does well at the box office, Akshay could become the first actor to surpass the 1000 crore mark at the box office in a year.
According to the sources, if Akshay’s ‘Good Newwz’ makes around Rs 225 crore then, he could become the first star collect Rs 1000 crore in a year. Salman Khan reached close to this milestone in 2016 with the whopping collection Rs 970 crore approximately with ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ and ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’. Bollywood’s Mr Khiladi is about to beat Mr Khan this year.
