Jamia Millia Islamic University: Jamia Millia Islamic Declares Entrance Exam Schedule For UG and PG Programs

NEW DELHI: Jamia Millia Islamic, JMI has declared the date of entrance exam for various graduate, postgraduate, and diploma programs for the academic session 2020-21. JMI entrance tests for 126 postgraduates, undergraduates, and diploma programs will start from October 10, 2020.

The decision to conduct the exam was taken in an Executive Council (EC), the highest decision-making body of the JMI University, meeting on September 24 after taking into consideration the admission related guidelines issued by the UGC on September 22, 2020.

Candidate can visit the official website of the Controller of Examinations JMI-   jmicoe.in regularly for the latest notifications regarding the JMI admission test and any other publication on JMI result.

The candidates can download the admit card from the first week of October, “The admit card for admission test will be available on student’s portal jmicoe.in before seven days of the date of commemorating the exam,” as per the varsity statement. The venue of the entrance test will be mentioned on the admit card whether it is within or outside Delhi.

The University announced, “While in a normal situation, around 12,000 students could be accommodated for entrance tests, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, not more than 4000 candidates can sit at a time.”

To ensure all the social distancing norms are being followed, the Jamia Millia Islamic is also in talks with the Kendriya Vidhyalas of Delhi so that they could also be used as an examination centre. “The final figure of test centre in Delhi will be finalized in a couple of days while centre outside Delhi is already mentioned in the prospectus,” the varsity said.

The schedule of the JMI admission test for MPhil/Ph.D programs will be notified late on the official website.

The schedule of Group Discussion (GD) and interview component will be announced separately to the candidates.
