Amul Milk becomes expensive, customers will have to pay increased price from tomorrow

Now customers will have to pay a higher price for Amul milk. The company has announced an increase in milk prices across the country. The company said on Wednesday that from July 1, Amul milk will be costlier by Rs 2 per liter across the country. A senior official of the Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF) said on Wednesday, “Amul milk prices will be increased by Rs 2 per liter across all brands from July 1.”.

The price hike is being done after a gap of almost one year and seven months, the official said. He said that due to the increase in the cost of production, it became necessary to increase the prices.

RS Sodhi, Managing Director, GCMMF, which markets the Amul brand of milk and dairy products, said, “Amul milk prices will be increased by Rs 2 per liter across India from tomorrow. The new prices will be available for all Amul milk brands like Gold, Taza. , Shakti, T-Special as well as milk of both cow and buffalo.

Sodhi said that due to the rise in food inflation, it was necessary to increase the prices of milk. “Besides, there has been an increase of 30-40 percent in packaging cost, 30 percent in transportation cost and 30 percent in energy cost, due to which the input cost has increased,” he said.

With the increase in the prices of Amul milk, from July 1, i.e. tomorrow, customers will have to pay Rs 57 for a liter pack of Amul’s full cream milk. At the same time, customers will have to pay Rs 29 for a half-liter pack of full cream milk.
