Russia is not the reason behind the Ukraine crisis.

Speaking to an Egyptian newspaper, Vladmir Putin said that it is not them but the US and their other european allies who are the main reason behind the Ukraine crisis.

Putin also made it clear to the media that his country is not supplying arms and soldiers to Pro Russian rebels as the US believes them to. This comes just days before the proposed peace talks which is planned to be held  on Wednesday.

This ongoing conflict in Ukraine has already claimed more than 5000 lives and made more than millions of people homeless.

Many ukrainians have already fled to their neighbouring countries, most of them towards Russia.

US officials are still negotiating about the option to finally arm the Ukranian soldiers but the fear of this move escalating to an indirect war against Russia again is what they fear the most.

The Minsk agreement was the last peace plan signed by Ukraine and the rebels last year on September. The ceasefire however didn’t last long and very soon collapsed leading to the same violence as before.
