John Abraham’s Batla House which is based on the controversial Batla House encounter in 2008, is the latest victim of online piracy as the full movie is leaked online by Tamilrockers. The film was released on Independence Day, August 15, and within a few hours of release, the people were able to download the movie online for free. Even the other two big releases, Akshay Kumar-starrer Mission Mangal and Netflix’s Sacred Games season two were also leaked within few hours of release by notorious piracy site Tamilrockers. The site shares these leaks via torrent files and magnet links that are made available on their page and has rapidly become a go-to site for the people who want to watch the latest films without having to fork up money for a ticket.

Batla House minted Rs 15.55 crore on the first day of its release. It showed a decline on the second day and earned Rs 8.84 crore, but the film made Rs 10.90 crore on the third day, and Rs 12 crore on the fourth day bringing its total collection to around Rs 47.29 crore which is close to crossing Rs 50 crore mark at the box office. Undoubtedly, the film Batla House put a good fight against Mission Mangal which was released on the same day.

We request everyone here to appreciate the film by seeing it in theatres and not by downloading it online as it requires lots of investment in financial terms of making a movie. And this leaks is an issue of grave concern for all filmmakers, producers, actors and everyone who is the part of the movie. In spite of getting more than 2000 sites blocked by Internet Service Providers (ISPs) directed by Madras and Delhi High court, Tamilrockers have always come up with new domain address and hitting every new release.
