World Wide Technology Ranked Fifth in the 2021 Singapore Best Workplaces™ by Great Place to Work® Singapore

SINGAPORE–()–World Wide Technology (WWT), a market-leading $13 billion technology solutions provider, has just been ranked as one of Singapore’s Best Workplaces in 2021. The global company received this award from Singapore Deputy Prime Minister Heng Swee Keat in an awards ceremony attended by close to 400 guests at the Marina Bay Sands Convention.

In total, 15 workplaces are ranked as Singapore’s Best Workplaces (Small Category), according to research and consulting firm Great Place to Work® Singapore, with WWT Singapore ranking fifth.

The Singapore’s Best Workplaces list is highly competitive. Great Place to Work, the global authority on workplace culture, selected the list using rigorous analytics and confidential employee feedback.

“As we move into the second year of the pandemic, we see fatigue and weariness set in in workplaces globally. Singapore Best Workplaces have continued to prioritize the well-being of their people and found a way to navigate the hybrid world to make it work for both the business and their people,” said Ms. Evelyn Kwek, Managing Director of Great Place to Work ASEAN & ANZ.

WWT continues to be dedicated to its status as a Great Place to Work on an international level. Last month, WWT Singapore ranked second in the Great Place to Work inaugural 2021 Singapore Best Workplaces in Technology List (Small Category). In July, WWT Asia Pacific ranked eight out of 100 companies on the Best Workplaces in Asia™ 2021 list (Small and Medium Category). In April, WWT US was recognized for the 10th year in a row by Great Place to Work and Fortune Magazine as one of the 100 Best Companies to Work For, for WWT’s unique blend of determination, innovation and leadership for diversity and inclusion.

“We are honored to be recognized on a global scale for being a Great Place to Work, and we are very proud of our Singapore Team and all of our WWT leaders for all they do, building a world-class culture while concurrently delivering world-class technology solutions for our customers and partners,” said Jim Kavanaugh, co-founder and CEO of WWT. “The focus of our people leads to great results, and we thank our employees for their support in leading us to make a new world happen.”

Great Place to Work is the only company culture award in the world that selects winners based on how fairly employees are treated and what their workplace experience is like. Companies are assessed on how well they are creating a great employee experience that cuts across race, gender, age, disability status or any aspect of who employees are or what their role is.

About Great Place to Work Certification™

Great Place to Work® Certification™ is the most definitive “employer-of-choice” recognition that companies aspire to achieve. It is the only recognition based entirely on what employees report about their workplace experience – specifically, how consistently they experience a high-trust workplace. Great Place to Work Certification is recognized worldwide by employees and employers alike and is the global benchmark for identifying and recognizing outstanding employee experience. Every year, more than 10,000 companies across 97 countries apply to get Great Place to Work-Certified.

How Great Place to Work® determines the Best Workplaces List in Singapore

Great Place to Work identified the Best Workplaces by analyzing companies’ workplace programs and surveying all their employees in Singapore (for companies with a staff strength of less than 5,000) about the key factors that create great workplaces for all.

Employees are invited to respond to 60 survey questions describing the extent to which their organization creates a great place to work For All™, meaning that the company empowers all individuals to reach their full human potential. 85% of the evaluation is based on what employees report about their experiences of trust and reaching their full human potential as part of their organization, no matter who they are or what they do. We analyze these experiences relative to each organization’s size, workforce make up, and what’s typical in their industry and region. The remainder of the evaluation is an assessment of all employees’ daily experiences of the company’s values, people’s ability to contribute new ideas, and the effectiveness of their leaders to ensure they’re consistently experienced.

To ensure surveys truly represent all employees, we require enough people in each organization to respond that results are accurate to a 95% confidence level and 5% margin of error or better. We review any anomalies in survey responses, news and financial performance to ensure there aren’t any extraordinary reasons to believe we couldn’t trust a company’s survey results.
