ShipBob Launches Technology Innovation Hub in India, Adds Former BigBasket and Flipkart Veteran to Leadership Team


CHICAGO–()–ShipBob today announced the launch of its Technology Innovation Hub in New Delhi, India, the first of its kind outside of the United States. In conjunction with the opening of the new technology hub, ShipBob also announced the hiring of Pramod Jajoo as SVP, Technology and Country Head. Jajoo will lead ShipBob’s expansion in India while overseeing all technology advancements the company will undertake in the country.

Jajoo joins ShipBob with more than 25 years of experience in technology leadership roles in both the US and India at companies like Flipkart and BigBasket. Prior to joining ShipBob, Jajoo was a mentor and advisor to select startups and corporations. Jajoo is actively involved in the Indian startup ecosystem as an angel investor, and for the past four years has been a mentor to Nasscom’s DeepTechClub startups.

Prior to that, Jajoo was a Senior Vice President at Flipkart, where he managed product and technology teams for Flipkart’s Fulfillment Services Group. He was also instrumental in the growth of BigBasket as its Chief Technology and Product Officer. Over a career spanning more than 30 years, Jajoo’s experience also includes roles in senior engineering and management positions at Sun Microsystems, Healtheon/WebMD and Xora. Jajoo holds a Master’s in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, USA and Bachelor’s in Computer Science from BITS Pilani, India.
