MINNEAPOLIS, Oct. 23, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — The e-bike lawyers at the Pritzker Hageman law firm filed a lawsuit (case file number 27-cv-23-14258) for a Minnesota woman who was severely injured while riding a defective Aventon Pace 500 e-bike purchased at Erik’s Bike shop. Our client was out on a bike ride with her son when the Pace 500 suddenly and unintentionally accelerated down a hill. The e-bike had motor cut-off switches in the brake handles, manufactured by Tektro of Taiwan, but those brake handles failed to function properly. As a result, the bike crashed, causing life-changing and severe injuries, including a traumatic brain injury.
