(Nasdaq: HIMX) (“Himax” or “Company”), a leading supplier and fabless manufacturer of display drivers and other semiconductor products, today declared a cash dividend of $1.25 per ADS, equivalent to 62.5 cents per ordinary share, for the year of 2021.
The cash dividend will be payable on July 12, 2022 to all the shareholders of record as of June 30, 2022. The ADS book will be closed for issuance and cancellation from June 23, 2022 to June 30, 2022. “Since our IPO in 2006, we have remained committed to a dividend policy to reward shareholders for their ongoing commitment,” said Mr. Jordan Wu, President and Chief Executive Officer of Himax Technologies, Inc. “Based on our record 2021 profit, we are pleased to announce the annual cash dividend of $1.25 per ADS. The payout ratio is 50% of net profit of last year, which is lower than our average payout ratio historically. The relatively low payout ratio reflects our decision to reserve sufficient working capital in the light of macroeconomic uncertainty and to facilitate our anticipated growth for the next few years. We are grateful for the continued support of our shareholders as we continue to execute on our business objectives and strive to deliver sustainable long-term growth.”
