It automatically switches headlights to low beam from high beam and back to reduce driving burden. This system automatically switches the headlights setting to low beam from high beam when it detects a vehicle ahead. Frequent usage of high beams allows for earlier detection of pedestrians, supporting safer driving. Moreover, the assist system includes a reflector, a light source containing two or more light emitting bodies, and forward-sensing camera (FSC), and LiDAR, CMOS, or RADAR sensors. The camera and sensors detect various forms of lights such as headlights, taillights, and ambient light from the surrounding area and turns the light focus brighter or dimmer automatically, making it easier for the driver to recognize hazards. Furthermore, the system detects oncoming and preceding vehicles and provides a broader field of vision for the driver to see further into the distance and recognize hazards earlier to avoid accidents. In addition, the high assist does not work properly under certain conditions such as driving on curves such as corners or mountain roads, streetlamps, reflective signs, roadside markers, and bad weather.
