DREAMTNS Releases New Reverse Engineering Software ‘PointShape Design’

SEONGNAM, South Korea–()–DREAMTNS Co., Ltd. announced that it has released PointShape™ Design software on April 18th, which is used for creating parametric CAD models of real-world products from Scan/Mesh data. With a familiar design process and user interface, the software enables users to accomplish their reverse engineering projects easily.

PointShape Design utilizes Convergence Geometric Modeler, the world’s first powerful modeling kernel used by CATIA. To meet users’ visualization needs, DREAMTNS has upgraded to incorporate the best-in-class graphics engine ‘HOOPS Visualize’.

PointShape Design can easily create parametric CAD models of practical real-world products through the scan data acquired with various measuring equipment such as 3D scanner, CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) and vision systems, and provide users with a familiar design process and user interface.

It provides comprehensive and powerful CAD design tools that can convey ideas from concept to manufacturing and production for engineers and operators, enabling faster, more accurate, and reliable reverse engineering than what is possible with other methods.

DREAMTNS said, “Through this solution, we will solve various reverse engineering and design challenges across various industries, including automotive, aerospace, manufacturing, research & development, heritage preservation, and industrial machinery and engineering services.”

The PointShape team is determined to continuously add new features and tools to PointShape Design with the purpose of enhancing users’ work productivity. The team is having the flexibility to customize the software based on specific requirements and needs of customers. PointShape also has a proven Inspection module and Mesh Processing module apart from PointShape Design in its portfolio.
