ASTERRA Leads Global Water Sustainability Dialogue at AQUATECH

[ad_2]

ROSH HA’AYIN, Israel, Oct. 28, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — ASTERRA, a growing Israeli company, is gathering its international partners from the water sector for a summit on November 1, 2021. They will then exhibit at AQUATECH, the world’s leading water trade exhibition for process, drinking, and wastewater, November 2-5, 2021. Both events will be held in Amsterdam.

The summit will be a day of collaborative learning, discussion, and celebration of ASTERRA’s successes over the past few years. One of the world’s leading researchers in the optimization of water resources and distribution systems, Professor Dragan Savic FREng, will present the keynote address at the partner summit.

Professor Savic is the Chief Executive Officer at KWR Water Research Institute in the Netherlands and also Professor of Hydroinformatics at the University of Exeter in the United Kingdom. Professor Savic and his research teams are active and often published; some topics of publication include Artificial Intelligence Techniques for Flood Risk Management in Urban Environments and Intelligent Urban Water Infrastructure Management.

“Professor Savic and ASTERRA have much in common – both are advocates for technology as the key to protecting the Earth’s resources,” said Elly Perets, Chief Executive Officer of ASTERRA. “Professor Savic’s expertise in the water industry is unrivaled. We are excited to gather and continue our work supporting water resources at AQUATECH.”

In a recent Bloomberg article, How to Build a Water-Smart City, professor Savic shared thoughts on water conservation. “Water is less measured than other systems, like transportation,” professor Savic said. “If you don’t measure it, you cannot manage it.”

ASTERRA Technology by Utilis are important tools for the measurement and management of water. The technology uses data from satellites located in space to detect water below the Earth’s surface and provides the points of interest and likely leak locations in various reports. This gives water utilities the information they need to protect their potable water supply. ASTERRA products support pipe deficiency assessment, leak detection, and ground infrastructure assessment. A new product, EarthWorks Rail, was released last month.

ASTERRA is safely working to support resource resilience around the world, by developing new technology and working with partners in the field, the boardroom, and at conferences such as AQUATECH. The conference is both live and virtual. Visit ASTERRA at booth #01.594 or follow them on social media where they will share news and conference information.
