But how Sanna Marin got elected as a prime minister? What happened is like: The former prime minister of Finland Antti Rinne resigned on December 3, 2019 (Tuesday) after intense criticisms over the way he handled a postal strike. According to the Confederation of Finnish industries, the strike estimated a loss of about 500 million euros or USD 550 million.

This incident cleared the doors for Sanna Marin to take the top position after the Social Democratic party voted her to take Antti Rinne’s place on December 8, 2019 (Sunday).

During the press conference when she won the premiership, Marin told to reporters that “We have a lot of work ahead to rebuild trust.”

She also added that she never thought of her gender or age. She just thinks about the reasons that led her into the politics and the things she has won the trust of the electorate.
