Prime Minister Modi Addressed the SCO Virtual Meet Yesterday, Read Here the Major Key Points Highlighted by PM

The 20th meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) was held virtually on November 10, 2020. The meeting includes Pakistan’s Imran Khan and china’s Xi Jinping. Modi send a clear message to them by his speech.

SCO virtual meeting 2020:  Prime Minister Modi addressed the member countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization on November 10, 2020, virtually. In his addressed, he dragged the attention of participating country towards India’s Atmanirbhar Bharat drive. He said that Atmanirbhar Bharat can become a force multiplier for the global economy and can boost the growth of member countries of the SCO council.

He further added that India is working on making long-term planning to overcome losses of the Global Pandemic. He also focused on the method of Multilateralism and National Capacity Building. Multilateralism and nation capacity building can help SCO nation to recover from the disruption caused by the COVIS-19 pandemic. I am glad to share my point of view with all legend minds and I am optimistic about the economic growth.

Due to the coronavirus SCO 20th summit meeting was held virtually. It was for the first time that Chinese President XI Jinping and PM Narendra Modi came face to face virtually during the summit after more than 6 months of long dispute over the border standoff in eastern Ladakh.

PM Modi also raised his voice against terrorism and money laundering which indirectly or directly misleads the youth of nations and this cartel supports heavy disturbance in the world. He further added that India always believe in peace, harmony, prosperity, and security.

By praising his medical staff and others supportive groups who are beem helping the nation to fight against the global pandemic and marked his word that in these unanticipated times of the crisis, India’s Pharma Industry has supplied essential medicines to more than 150 nations and the country can also serve as the largest vaccine making country in the world.

He further strongly hit up Pakistan’s agenda and Chinese intention and condemned bringing bilateral issues into the summit and said that it is unfortunate to see that some of the SCO nations is bringing the bilateral issues on the platform of SCO and dragging them into the SCO agenda, which violates SCO Charter and Shanghai Spirit. He added,” these efforts are against the SCO cooperation.”

“This year 2020 is a very important and challenging year for India in SCO Summit as we are inviting you to participate in the multilateralism initiative. India is proposing startup and innovation for special working groups. We urge the SCO nations to fully cooperate for reformed multilateralism,” said PM.

In the virtual meet, Afghan President thanks India for helping in the time of need. Afghan President Ashraf Ghani said, “India provided over one hundred thousand tons of wheat at the time when the market was collapsed due to pandemic. Amid COVID -19 India helped Afghanistan by providing 75,000 MT wheat with an aim to provide food security”.

 

SCO is a Eurasian political, economical, and security alliance that was created by the leaders of China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Uzbekistan. Later, India and Pakistan joined the SCO council in the year 2017
