American electric vehicle and clean energy company Tesla will be operational in India by early 2021, Union Roads, Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari said. Meanwhile, Nitin Gadkari discussed the need for electric cars in the country and said that many more Indian companies are working on electric vehicles, the prices of which can be reduced. However, Tesla is technically advanced, Gadkari said.
Gadkari further said that Tesla will start its operations with sales and then considering the response of the people about this car, they will think about its assembly and production. In the next 5 years, India will become the number one manufacturing hub.
According to the report, the world’s most valued automobile corporation has sealed plans to resume bookings next month and deliver by the end of the first quarter of 2021-22, according to market cap. Tesla will launch in India in 2021. Tesla also plans to open an R&D centre and battery manufacturing company in the country. However, the company had planned to enter India in 2016 by starting pre-booking of the Model 3.
It is being said that Tesla will probably import the car entirely from China and sell them online. Cars will not be sold through dealerships. It is also said that the price of the car can be Rs 55 lakh. The car has a range of up to 500 km and a top speed of 162 km per hour. It can reach 0-100 km / h in 3.1 seconds. However, there has been no official confirmation from the company about this.
