Recently, we told that the Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo is receiving the Android 7.0 Nougat operating system update. Now the company starts rolling out the Android 7.0 Nougat OS update for the Galaxy J7 2016 model. Which was launched in 2016.
We are not surprised by the Android OS update news because back in June month, there was news that the Samsung is started testing Android 7.0 Nougat OS update for the Galaxy J7. After two months, the OS update is finally ready to roll out for the Galaxy J7 2016 globally.
For now, only Russia Galaxy J7 2016 models are receiving the major OS update. But, we can expect that the company will release the Android 7.0 Nougat update for other countries in upcoming days.
The Android 7.0 Nougat OS update firmware comes with J710FXXU3BQHA version number with August security patch. In the Russia the firmware size is 970 MB, if you live there, then make sure that you have sufficient storage space for the OS update.
Samsung Galaxy J7 2016 was launched in the April 2016, it came with 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display with 720 x 1080 pixels of resolution. It was a mid-range smartphone that came with decent hardware and features. It was powered by an Octa-Core CPU under the hood, there were two models with different chipset on board.
