Samsung may launch Galaxy Note 8 with 4 GB of RAM in China

A few days ago, Samsung announced the latest Galaxy Note 8 phablet. It comes with 6 GB of RAm and three internal storage variants, such as 64 GB, 128 GB, and 256 GB. Now, the two devices spotted on the TENAA with SM-N9508 and SM-N9500 model numbers. Both the devices featured with 4 GB of RAM inside. It looks like, both smartphones are Galaxy Note 8 variants with 4 GB of RAM.

According to the Samsung previous foot step, the company usually launched the highest specifications phone in the Chinese market. The China was the first country to have Samsung Galaxy S8 6 GB of RAM model.

According to TENAA, the listed phablet comes with 4 GB of RAM and three internal storage option just like the Galaxy Note 8 6 GB model, 64 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB internal storage option. Apart from RAM size, there is no difference in other specs and design.

The company announced that the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 powered by in two CPU variants. One comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC for the Chinese and U.S markets. Another comes with the company’s own Exynos 8895 model for the global markets.

TENAA reveals some specifications of the Samsung SM-N9508 and SM-N9500 model number devices. Both powered by Octa-core CPU under the hood which clocks at 2.35 GHz, that means these Galaxy Note 8 variants packed with Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset on board. These model are for the Chinese market and the company may launch them in some other Asian markets. The Galaxy Note 8 unlocked version is available in the U.S market at $930 price tag. We are expecting that the 4 GB Galaxy Note 8 model could arrive with a $100 cheaper pricing.

The company has not released the price of the Galaxy Note 8for Chinese market. But, some rumours suggested that the Galaxy Note 64 GB Variant is supposed to be priced at 6,288 Yuan (~$942). The Galaxy Note 8 4 GB of RAM model may be priced at around 5,664 Yuan (~$850) in China.

In the Chinese market, Samsung is struggling to compete with other brands, like Xiaomi, ZTE and OnePlus, that offers flagship devices at much lower price tag with the dual rear camera sensor. The Galaxy Note 8 is the first flagship device that comes with the dual rear camera sensor and its price too higher than the other companies latest flagship devices.
