Google Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 to be unveiled on 5th October with Snapdragon 836 SoC

We all know that the Google is planning to launch the successor of the last year Google Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones, named Google Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2. Buth the next generation Pixel 2 series smartphones rumored and leaked several times.

Now we may have exact announcement date for both Google’s smartphones. Evan Blass has tweeted that the Google will announce both phones on  October 5.

According to the Evan Blass, the Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2will be packed with Qualcomm Snapdragon 836 SoC inside which is not launched yet by the company. We expect it will more powerful and efficient processor compare to the Snapdragon 836.

Google has launched the Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones on 4th October 2016, which means the second generation Pixel and Pixel XL 2 smartphones are bound to be unveiled exactly 1 year and 1 day later.

The 5-inch Pixel 2 will be manufactured by HTC and 6-inch Pixel XL2 smartphone will be manufactured by LG. The Pixel XL 2 will come with the almost bezel-less design while the Pixel 2 will have bezels top and bottom.

Google has announced the latest Android 8.0 Oreo Mobile operating system, a few days ago. It looks like the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 will be the first smartphones to come with pre-installed Android 8.0 Oreo OS out of the box.

Both the Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 are expected to be packed with 64-bit Octa-Core processor under the hood along with Adreno 540 GPU. Both the devices are supposed to come with 4 GB of RAM, the Pixel 2 will come with 64 GB internal storage option while the Pixel XL 2 will have 32 GB and 128 GB internal storage variants.

The 5-inch AMOLED display Pixel 2 smartphone is expected to support 1080 x 1920 pixels of resolution and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. While the 6-inch Pixel XL 2 is expected to support 1440 x 2560 pixels of resolution and protected by same Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
