Tech giant Google has extended the work-from-home period for its employees until September 2021. Nearly 200,000 Google employees will now be able to work from home till September 2021. After this, when the office starts, the employees will have to go to the office only three days a week, while the remaining three days will be allowed to work from home.
Alphabet and Google CEO Sundar Pichai sent an email to all their employees that we are testing whether adopting a flexible approach increases productivity. Google will also offer its employees the Covid-19 vaccine in the second half of 2021.
Google was the first company to allow its employees to work from home due to Covid-19 pandemic in March. Since then, Google has continued to extend the work-from-home period for its employees. First, the period of work from home has been extended to January 2021, then to July and now to September.
