Micromax set to comeback with the brand new IN series of phones

Scheduled to launch this November

Micromax has just announced its comeback after quite some time of inactivity. The company’s co-founder, Rahul Sharma, recently posted a two-minute video about their return to the market with the new IN series. Micromax held the mantle of India’s number one mobile phone brand for quite a while until it could no longer compete against the likes of Xiaomi, Oppo, and Oneplus.

The current border disputes between India and China has put pressure on the Chinese smartphone industry. Many Indians have chosen to avoid Chinese phones to show their anger. Furthermore, even the Government of India has vowed to give Indian companies support to make the country self-sufficient in terms of tech. It seems like Micromax has decided to take advantage of this opportune moment to seize back control of the Indian smartphone industry. In the recent video, Sharma too concurred the same.

At the moment, Micromax has not revealed much about the new lineup of smartphones. According to reliable sources, the company plans to release two new models, and both are supposed to arrive in November. Reportedly, the handsets will be set in the Rs. 7,000-15,000 price range.

As per a new leak, the specifications of the Micromax In series phones have been revealed. Both of the upcoming smartphones will have a 6.5-inch HD+ display. Furthermore, the phones will run on a Mediatek Helio G35 processor. A 2GB RAM+32GB storage version will be available alongside a 3GB RAM+32GB variant regarding the memory and storage options. In terms of power options, the IN series will boast a 5000mAh battery. However, we don’t know whether fast-charging will be available.

The two versions will also sport two different camera setups. New reports suggest the 2GB RAM version will come with dual rear camera setup. It will also include a 13MP primary sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor, and an 8MP sensor at the front. Meanwhile, the 3GB variant will sport a triple camera setup that features a 13MP primary sensor, 5MP secondary sensor, and a 2MP tertiary sensor. As for the selfie camera, the latter will have another 13MP lens.
