All these three new filters are available in the Boomerang composer in the Instagram Stories camera.
SlowMo, will help the user to slow down their stories to half their original speed.
Echo, will create a double vision effect which means that it adds a blur to everything that moves almost like what you’d see when you’re drunk.
Duo is an amalgamation of both the above features, it will speeds up and slows down Boomerang while adding a texturized effect.
With the latest update, Instagram will also allow its users to trim and adjust the length of recorded Boomerangs. The new effects come as an over-the-air (OTA) update.
The company said in a statement -“Your Instagram camera gives you ways to express yourself and easily share what you’re doing, thinking or feeling with your friends. Boomerang is an iconic part of that, and one of the most beloved camera formats. Instagram is excited to expand on creativity and give you new ways to use Boomerang to turn everyday moments into something fun and unexpected,”
Instagram threatened by TikTok’s rise, adds these new additions come five years after Boomerangs were introduced in 2015, and according to media reports, it is the most widely used feature while recording stories.
The new effects are available in the new version of the Instagram apps for both iOS and Android. You can update the app from the respective app stores.
