Xiaomi Redmi 1S a new entrant in the smartphone market in India is becoming a talk of the town with its feature packed phone at a astonishing low price. Giants like Micromax and Samsung who had been enjoying a good run in low price range are getting a run for there money.

Xiaomi after the launch of its Mi3 has launched an even cheaper phone the Xiaomi Redmi 1s. This time also the company is providing such features in the phone that is available in phones priced at double rate of this phone.

Xiaomi Redmi 1S Looks and Specification

Look wise the phone is yet another candy bar shaped phone as all the phones available during this time.

The Redmi 1s measures 137 x 69 x 9.9 mm so it can be said the phone is not slim.

The phone with its 158g weight is not light as compared to other phone in the range. The back panel of the phone can removed and the company is expected to offer colorful panels which could give your phone some distinction.

The phone offers a 4.7 inch multi touch capacitive touch screen. The phone offers a AGC Dragon tail Scratch resistant glass so you can use it as you like.

The phone offers a 8 megapixel rear camera with flash and a 1.6 megapixel front camera. The phones comes with a 3.5mm jack located on the top of the phone and a Micro/USB port for charging and data connectivity on the bottom of the phone. The power button and volume control is located on the side. The phone has a speaker located at the back of the phone.

Xiaomi Redmi 1S Software Specification

The phone comes equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with an integrated Adreno 305 GPU. The phone has a RAM of 1 GB with internal storage memory of 8 GB which can be expanded up to 64 GB with SD card. There is a 2000 mAh battery. The phone is a dual sim phone and accepts two mini sim cards.the phone is 3G enabled but only one sim card can be used on 3G network. Wi fi and bluetooth version 4.0 are also offered by the phone.

The phone runs on Android 4.3(Jellybean) with Xiaomi’s MIUI v5 which is a little drawback considering that other phones in this range offers 4.4 (Kitkat) preinstalled. Xiaomi has promised a update to Android 4.4 KitKat with Xiaomi’s MIUI v6 by the end of the year.
