Vodafone 4G will be available in Mumbai by December

The race for 4G expansion is on in India with Airtel and Reliance taking aggressive stand in metros. The Vodafone India will also join the club in December by launching 4G services in important telecom circle such as Mumbai. The Mumbai circle contributes 30 percent to the national data revenues of the company.  The company spokesperson confirmed the development by saying that the Vodafone is already leading service provider in Mumbai and lightning fast internet will be provided to customers in the city through new 1800MHz band.

The press release further said that Vodafone has enough experience and technical capabilities to launch efficient 4G service in India because they are already running 4G in few other countries. The infrastructure required to provide 4G services have been installed by the company. Official figures pointed out that the hardware has been installed at more than 1,000 sites in the city. Vodafone India has spent Rs.500 for the expansion of 4G network in the city with the help of world’s top technology infrastructure firm.  The Vodafone network users will experience increased speed because of high capacity fibre installation.

The Kerala circle will also receive 4G services by the end of this year. Important urban centres such as Kozhikode, Trivandrum and Kochi are on company’s 4G expansion list. The whole process will be carried out in step by step manner once the signal testing is completed. All telecom providers are focusing on high speed internet in India as country’s internet use is growing in double digits.
