G5 15 2020 comes in quite a few variants. However, in this article, we’re covering the base model. Therefore, it has a 15 inch 1080p IPS panel display; it also comes with a 60 Hz refresh rate. While it’s not the best, the display does offer good color correction and brightness.

The keyboard and trackpad combo is also decent. However, interestingly enough, the touchpad, although easily controllable, is positioned in an odd place.

In regards to the speakers, the audio is clean and clear. The laptop also comes with a fingerprint scanner and a 720p webcam.

And as far as ports are concerned, Dell has spared no expense. On the device’s left side are HDMI 2.0, mini DisplayPort, Ethernet, charger input, SuperSpeed USB 3.2 Gen 1 port, and a USB Type-C connector. And the right side features the headset jack, a pair of USB 3.0 ports, and a full-sized SD card reader. It also supports the latest 5.1 Bluetooth connectivity.

Dell G5 15 2020: Performance

Intel’s 10th Gen Core I5 processor powers the base variant. It also comes with 8 GB Ram. Instead of a Hard drive, it is coupled with 512 GB SSD. And Nvidia’s GeForce GTX 1650Ti is its graphics unit.

For its price range, it is an incredible model. However, bear in mind that the GPU is not made for intensive gaming. Although it will get the job done, games that demand high graphics power will have difficulty running. Apart from gaming, the laptop is suited for work or just casual entertainment as well. The only downside of it is the battery life, which is around 5 hours.
