Asus introduced the ZenFone 5Z smartphone at MWC 2018 event along with other ZenFone 5 variants. The ZenFone 5Z looks very similar to the Apple’s iPhone X, which is being called an iPhone X clone. It comes with same iPhone X’s notch, but the company said that the Asus ZenFone 5Z notch is 25% smaller than the iPhone X. The rear camera position, size and shape of the phone are just same as the Apple’s iPhone X, that’s why we call it iPhone X clone.
The ZenFOne 5Z will be available at just $500 price which is 50% less than Apple’s iPhone X. The phone also packed with pretty good killer specs under the hood. The ZenFone 5Z comes with 6.2-inch IPS display with 2246 x 1080 pixels of resolution with 18.5:9 aspect ratio which offers 500nits brightness, 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage / 96% NTSC colour gamut coverage. The phone offers ~83.6% screen-to-body ratio and supports 402 PPI density ratio.
Asus ZenFone 5Z is powered by Dual Quad-Core (4×2.7 GHz Kryo 385 Gold & 4×1.7 GHz Kryo 385 Silver) CPU along with Qualcomm latest Snapdragon 845 chipset under the hood. It has 4 GB, 6 GB and 8 GB of RAM and 64 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB internal storage option, respectively. For the graphics, the phone is packed with Adreno 630 GPU. The ZenFone 5Z runs on Android 8.0 Oreo operating system out of the box along with ASUS ZenUI 5.0 running on top. It comes with micro SD card slot on board which support up to 400 GB external storage.
The ZenFone 5Z featured with dual cameras lens on the back side along with phase detection autofocus, gyro EIS and dual-LED (dual tone) flash. The first main 12-megapixel camera with f/1.8 aperture and secondary wide angle 8-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture. It comes with 8-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture and gyro EIS feature. The phone is packed with Non-removable Li-Ion 3300 mAh battery inside the battery along with Fast battery charging 9V/2A 18W feature.
The ZenFone 5Z will be available in Midnight Blue, Meteor Silver color options. It has a fingerprint sensor on the back side. It comes with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NFC, USB 2.0, Type-C 1.0 reversible connector connectivity features. It has a glass panel on the screen and comes with an aluminium body.
