Apple unveils the iPhone 12: Here’s everything you need to know

After months of anxious wait, Apple has finally launched its next flagship smartphone, the iPhone 12. The tech giants announced at the recently concluded Apple Event. As usual, there will be more than one edition of the phone. At the moment, Apple has revealed the iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max. However, we will cover only the standard edition in this article. The phone comes in various color options, including – Blue, Black, Green, Red, and White. Plus, there will also be three storage variants that feature 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB versions.

Apple iPhone 12: Release date and pricing details

Although Apple has already launched the iPhone 12 in India, the phone will not hit the markets until October 30. Pre-orders, however, will begin soon.

As we’ve mentioned before, the three variants will come with their price tags. So far, Apple has stated that the starting price of the iPhone 12 will be Rs. 79,990. The other two versions will cost Rs. 84,990 and Rs. 94,990, respectively.

Apple iPhone 12: Specs

Like its predecessors, Apple’s iPhone 12 also boasts a lot of exciting specifications. It sports a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display, plus the Dolby Vision and HDR10 support ensure a high-quality video playback. Apple’s latest iPhone is powered by the company’s very own A14 Bionic chipset as for the processor. According to the tech behemoths, the chipset is the fastest ever in a smartphone, plus it focuses on AI use. Also, the phone will run on the brand new iOS 14 from Apple.

As for the memory, Apple has not yet revealed the RAM size of the iPhone 12. Still, we know that customers will have the option to get the 64GB, 128GB, or the 256GB variation of the phone. The latest iPhone does not support expandable storage options, so users will have to be careful about choosing the proper storage variant.

The iPhone 12 features a dual-camera setup at the rear. The first of it is a 12MP wide camera that acts as the primary sensor. Meanwhile, the secondary sensor is a 12MP ultra-wide shooter with a 120-degree field of view.

Regarding power options, we don’t have any details. However, we expect Apple to release that information as the release date draws near.
