Redmi 7A to launch in India on 4 July

Xiaomi, Chinese smartphone manufacture’s big launch for India is tomorrow and the company has been proudly boasting about it via social media. According to an e-commerce website, Flipkart, the ultra-affordable smartphone Redmi 7A, Smart Desh Ka Smartphone, has been slated to launch on 4 July.

In India, Redmi 7A will succeed Redmi 6A and is expected to be available on Mi.com and Mi Home stores in addition to Flipkart. It will come with features like Type C port, IR blaster, with a 5.45-inch LCD display and runs the latest version of Android with MIUI 10 running atop.

Xiaomi is upgrading the phone for the Indian market as it expects it to be a bestseller for the year similar to its predecessors. The phone has a feature that none of the other brands under Rs 20,000 segment provides, Manu Jain

Redmi 7A has already been launched in China last month with the announcement of the Redmi K20 phones. In China, Redmi 7A starts at 549 Yuan (about ₹5,500) for the 16GB storage variant. And at 599 Yuan (about ₹6,000) for the 32GB storage variant. The official India price of the phone is most probably revealed by the company tomorrow.

The Redmi 7A is said to have a “Facebook-ready camera”, “fast processor” and “long-lasting battery backed by a 4,000mAh battery”.

Connectivity options of the smartphone include:

• 5mm audio jack, and,
• A Micro-USB port.

The configuration feature of the phone includes 1.95GHz octa-core processor alongside Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 chip that takes care of the overall performance of the system. Xiaomi Redmi 7A is further aided by Adreno 505 GPU and 2GB RAM that provides lag-free multitasking.
