Meizu M6 launched with 5.2-inch display, Octa-core processor and 3GB RAM

Meizu, a Chinese smartphone manufacturer has launched its new budget range smartphone, called Meizu M6. At the launching event, the company says its “Back to Basic” for the line. It comes with new design and same hardware and software features.

The Meizu M6 comes with the new design compared to the company’s M5 smartphone. It comes with the Polycarbonate body which looks like metal at first glance. The company used the Non-Conducive Vacuum Metallization (NCVM) technology process to achieve the metallic look.

Meizu M6 comes with the same 5.2-inch display as the Meizu M5 with 720 x 1280 pixels of resolution. It is powered by an Octa-core CPU which clocks at 1.5 GHz under the hood along with MediaTek MT6750 chipset. The company launched the two memory variants of the phone, first comes with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB internal storage option while the another one comes with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB internal storage option. Both the models support micro SD card up to 128 GB.

The Meizu M6 comes with the 13-megapixel camera on the back side with RGBW sensor,  f/2.2 aperture, phase detection autofocus and dual LED flash. It has an 8-megapixel camera on the front side with f/2.0 aperture for selfies and video calls. It is packed with Non-removable Li-Ion 3070 mAh battery along with Fast battery charging feature. It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system out of the box with Flyme UI 6.0 running on top.

The phone comes with fingerprint sensor on the front side which is embedded on the home button. The company says that the fingerprint sensor is able to unlock the phone in just 0.2 seconds. There is 3.5 audio jack port on the top side and micro USB port and speaker on the bottom side.

The Meizu M6 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage will be available at ¥699 (~$106) price tag and 3 GB and 32 GB internal storage at ¥899 (~$137) price tag. The phone will be available in the market in black, blue, silver, and gold color options.
