IPL 2020: Why RCB will win IPL finally in 2020

Royal Challenges Banglore is arguably the most underperformed team in the Indian Premier League. Despite having a squad filled with superstars and high quality players, RCB has failed to perform according to their potential.

However this year the franchise has a strong chance of winning the title. Here are three reasons why RCB will IPL in 2020.

#3. A multi-dimensional pool of overseas players:

One of the biggest strengths of RCB is its pool of overseas players. In AB de Villiers they have a batsman who can win games from any situation and a gun fielder. Aaron Finch, on the other hand, can solve their woes of opening pair.

Kane Richardson and Dale Steyn boost the bowling department offering pace as well as accuracy. Meanwhile, the likes of Chris Morris and Moeen Ali will give the team management variety as well as balance in the team with their all-round skills.

#2. A versatile spin department:

The spin bowling department offers RCB a cutting edge over other teams. Their spinners have vast experience of playing T20 cricket and are in fact have variations that are tailor-made for this format.

Yuzvendra Chahal is arguably the best leg spinner in white-ball cricket currently while Washinton Sundar has the big heart and smart brain to bowl in the Powerplay overs. Isuru Udana has troubled batsmen with his variations and can bowl a match-turning spell. Plus the likes of Pawan Negi and Shahbaz Ahmad provide depth.

#1. A Virat Kohli eager to give back:

Not very often we see Virat Kohli entering the tournament with no runs under his belt. The right-hand batsman is going through a lean patch and will be eager to regain form prior to the T20 World Cup.

This makes him even more dangerous. Remember the saying, ‘What’s more dangerous than a tiger? wounded tiger.’ So don’t be surprised if Kohli hammers big runs in this edition of IPL.
