El Tri’s fifth game curse continues as Brazil and Neymar beat Mexico in the World Cup round of 16

With Neymar’s Brazil clearing the round of 16 games in a great manner, Mexico is out of the World Cup 2018 and continues to suffer their Fifth game curse in the tournament.

The first half of the game was quite entertaining as both of the teams created a few chances and the Mexican goalkeeper Ochoa kept 3 clean sheets within the first 45 minutes.

As the second half of the game started, Brazil was seen playing the game quite comfortably and 10 minutes past the second half, a beautiful tap-in from Neymar helped Brazil to get a 1-0 lead in the game.

As the game continued, Firmino scored the second goal from Brazil with the help of an assist from Neymar and Mexico faces yet another loss in the pre-quarterfinals of the world cups. This was Mexico’s seven successive losses in the round of 16 stages ever since 1964.

The winner of Belgium vs. Japan will now face Brazil in the quarter-final and the team management is quite confident about the same.

One thing which is a concern for Brazil is with Marcelo is sitting on the benches for his spine injury, Casemiro was booked in this match with his second yellow of the tournament and will eventually miss the next game for his National side.

Ochoa is again the name who will be in the headlines tomorrow for his brilliant goalkeeping for his side, but unfortunately, Ochoa is now out of the tournament with his side, Mexico.

If it would be Ochoa, the score could have been 4-0 as two clear shots, one from Gabriel Jesus and Coutinho were saved from the Mexican Spiderman.

Paulinho did get a chance after the first goal from Neymar, but it was yet again Ochoa who came to the rescue for his side.

In a word, it can be said that after the lead of 1-0, Mexico was never seen playing the game anymore as the Brazilian goalkeeper barely needed to move in the second half of the game.
