Huge: Nabil Fekir Speaks on Transfer after Liverpool Medical

Fans were dying to hear the words about exactly what is happening behind the curtains from France and Lyon star Nabil Fekir, after his move to Liverpool jeopardized after his medical revealed concerns over his knee. The attacking midfielder was on the verge of completing the move to the Merseyside club, he even completed LFC TV interview and chose his shirt number but the failed medical prompted the Reds to sit on the negotiation table with Lyon President Aulas once again. Aulas is still reluctant to let their Captain leave on the financial terms offered by Liverpool, so the supposed move looks to be dead as of now.

Amidst speculations of potential transfer and reports of Fekir being offered a new contract at the French Club, the 25-year-old has finally spoken up on transfer.

Talking to OL TV, as quoted by ‘Get France Football News’, Fekir said: ”Who knows what will happen in the future but I am very happy at Lyon. I feel brilliant in this squad.”

Insisting on his happiness at Lyon, the skipper said:“As you can see, I am in Lyon. I am very happy here. ”

However, the Frenchman is keeping the tabs open for Liverpool, as he went on to say: ”But the transfer window is still long and everything goes very quickly in football. We don’t know what will happen in the future but I am very happy at Lyon. I feel brilliant in this squad. We have very good players, a great atmosphere. It is a bit like the French national team: a mixture of youngsters and older players, with some players more experienced than others. We have a good group, very homogeneous. We feel good together and I hope that Lyon will have a very good season.”

It seems like the Fekir saga to Liverpool is not finished yet. Though there is almost zero chance Liverpool signs him up this window before Friday’s deadline, Fekir has only two years left in his contract. One window later, Liverpool can get him a lot cheaper since the manager Jurgen Klopp is a big admirer of Fekir.
