Arsenal 3-1 West Ham: Video Highlights, Review, Reactions

After facing back-to-back defeats to Manchester City and Chelsea, new Arsenal boss Unai Emery has tasted victory for his new club Arsenal as the Gunners beat West Ham 3-1 at the Emirates. The Hammers faced three successive defeats this season on the trot at the London Derby as they could not manage to hold on to the lead Marko Arnautovic furnished them at the 25th minute.

Arsenal defender Nacho Monreal leveled terms at the 30th minute. At the 70th minute, Hammers’ player Diop put the ball into their own net after Alexandre Lacazette fired the ball into Ham box in a bid to find Aubameyang. At the 92nd minute, striker Danny Welbeck chipped in with an injury-time late goal. The Gunners came from behind to stamp an authoritative Three-One victory to register their first Premier League triumph this season.

Arsenal attacking midfielder Mesut Ozil was left out of the team as he had a fallout with the manager reportedly.

Goalscorer Monreal had a stunning game as Arsenal fans hailed him as the best left back and best center back for Arsenal. Iwobi was not good enough in his 100th appearance for the Gunners. Bellerin was very good offensively. Lucas Torreira was outstanding as with his incoming, Xhaka, Bellerin, Ramsey and Arsenal defenders looked much better. It will not be a hyperbole to say that Torreira and Lacazette changed the complexion of the game. Arsenal enjoyed a decent second half as Torreira-Xhaka midfield worked wonders and Ramsey improved too. Aubameyang was poor today.
