‘Universe Boss’ Chris Gayle turns 40, Let’s have a look at the records of T20 G.O.A.T.

On this day in 1979, the greatest ever T20 cricketer, Christopher Henry Gayle was born in Kingston, Jamaica. The West Indian has never failed to entertain the cricket fans at both, on and off the field and that too ever since he made his debut.

Gayle made his international debut during a One-Day match against India that was played on 11 September, 1999 in Toronto. In the subsequent year, he made his Test debut against Zimbabwe at the Queen’s Park Oval Ground. But a revolution began when the ‘Big Man’ started playing T20 cricket and went to become the greatest batsman of all time in this format.

If we try to pick up an ambassador for this form of cricket, then no other name will come in the fans’ minds apart from that of Chris Gayle. This can be easily seen by the number of T20 teams that he has represented all over the world which clearly showcases his class.

Stanford Superstars, Kolkata Knight Riders, Western Australia, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Sydney Thunder, Barisal Burners, Somerset, Uva Next, Dhaka Gladiators, Jamaica Tallawahs, Dolphins, Lions, Barisal Bulls, Melbourne Renegades, Lahore Qalandars, Chittagong Vikings, Karachi Kings, St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots, Cape Town Knight Riders, Rangpur Riders, Kings XI Punjab, Vancouver Knights, Balkh Legends, Jozi Stars and Kerala Knights are the T20 teams in which he played for.

Here are all the numbers and records that make Chris Gayle such a maestro in this format:
