IPL 2019 Prediction: Can RCB get everything right this time?

Royal Challengers Bangalore have always loaded their team with the best T20 batsmen and despite featuring a dream-like batting line up, the team has failed to lift the IPL trophy. This failure has a lot to do with their bowling department and also with their man management skills.

In 2019, they will enter the field to settle the scores and will look to end their trophy drought. And a lot will depend on how Virat Kohli marshals his troops.

Royal Challengers Bangalore IPL 2019: Strengths

As always, batting is RCB’s biggest strength. The duo of AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli is probably the best batting combination one can assemble in T20 cricket while the likes of Marcus Stonis and Grandhomme bring more power to the table. Add it to Shimron Hetmyer and you are staring at a batting line-up that can score 180 plus runs every other game.

RCB has some good Indian batsmen in their ranks as well. Parthiv Patel has been scoring well in Powerplay overs in the last few seasons while Gurkeerat Singh and Akashdeep Nath can be useful batsmen.

The pace bowling department too looks decent with Nathan Coulter-Nile and Tim Southee tagging up with Umesh Yadav.

Royal Challengers Bangalore IPL 2019: Weakness

The spin department rallies around Yuzvendra Chahal who might miss a few games with the World Cup in sight. There is Washington Sundar and Moeen Ali but both of them aren’t very reliable. Washington Sundar had a rough season in 2018 while Moeen may find it difficult to bowl on Indian pitches.

Royal Challengers Bangalore Prediction IPL 2019

RCB has the team to make it to the top four in IPL 2019 but they will need their bowlers to step up. A lot depends on the performance of Chahal and Umesh Yadav and also on captaincy skills of Virat Kohli.
