IPL 2018: Three players to watch out from Chennai Super Kings

Chennai Super Kings, one of the most popular IPL franchise is back after serving two years suspension. And to the delight of fans, they are back with a bang.
Some smart buys at the auctions have once again created a strong CSK contingency and we look at their top three players.

MS Dhoni- MS Dhoni has been de facto captain of CSK. But last year while playing for Pune Supergiants, Dhoni wasn’t the captain of the team. In international cricket as well, Dhoni has given up captaincy, so it will be interesting to see how he fares at CSK once again.
His batting too is under the scanner and the question whether he is still the best finisher around is looming large.
CSK’s success this year will depend on how Dhoni marshals his troops and fares behind the wickets. His role with the bat is too important as well as he is the team’s strength in the middle order.

Suresh Raina- After a disastrous year at Gujarat Lions, Suresh Raina is back in similar conditions in 2018.
Raina will be the automatic choice for CSK at number three and the team will expect Raina to repeat his exploits from the past.
Raina currently is keen on making a comeback in the national team, so there will be more eyes watching the left-hand batsman.

Shane Watson- CSK has traditionally relied on all-rounders to play a significant role in team’s success and this year at the auctions, they picked Shane Watson for this position.
The man of the series of the first edition of IPL, Watson has been a key player in T20 format throughout his career thanks to his all-around abilities.
However, from the last few seasons, Watson failed to weave his magic in IPL and has changed franchises. So, it is interesting to see how the Australian player fares under Dhoni’s leadership as Dhoni is known to bring the best out of his players.
