India will have plenty of eyes on them when they enter the ICC World Cup 2019. The team features the current best ODI batsman Virat Kohli who is at the moment virtually unstoppable and a sensational pacer in the form of Jasprit Bumrah. Meanwhile the opening duo of Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma are among the best in the recent past and Kuldeep Yadav has emerged as a fine match-winner.
With all these prospects, India seem to be the best team in ODI cricket at the moment but they have their own set of issues. Can India dodge them and lift the trophy?
India World Cup 2019 squad:
Virat Kohli (c), Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, KL Rahul, Vijay Shankar, Mahendra Singh Dhoni (wk), Kedar Jadhav, Dinesh Karthik, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Mohammed Shami
India bank of batting power
Dhawan, Rohit and Kohli are the best top three in international cricket at the moment but India’s worry is the batsman that follows them. The cauldron of number four batsmen isn’t solved yet and it can be India’s Achilles Heel.
India’s squad features three seamers which means India will play only two pacers in their playing XI and will have two spinners. Chahal and Kuldeep have done well and Jadeja is a decent back-up.
