All-rounders are always considered to be one of the biggest assets for any cricket team and that turned out to be true in this year’s World Cup edition as well. England Team won the ICC CWC 2019 after defeating New Zealand in the finals and one of the major reasons behind their victory was the amount of all-rounders that they had in their side.
Everyone was aware about England’s deep batting as Jofra Archer who batted at number 10 for them has also won quite a few matches for T20 League teams all round the globe. One name that cannot be missed out from this list is of Ben Stokes as the Englishman impressed all right from the very first match against South Africa where he lead his side in all three departments. He was also awarded with the ‘Man of the Match’ award in that game.
He continued with his tremendous form throughout the season as was the hero for his side in the night of finals as well where he kept on batting till the end and helped in tying the match which was eventually won by them on boundary count.

If we go as per the numbers, then Shakib’s name deserves to be at the top but here we will go according to the impact that the players laid on the overall performance of their respective sides. By this, Shakib definitely deserves to be at this position while preparing this list.
We saw a great fighting spirit from the Bangladesh Team in this tournament that they never fail to showcase in any multinational or bilateral series. One of the major reasons behind their such performance in this CWC was spectacular performance from Shakib Al Hasan who lead his side from the front.

One of the most underrated players of this season who performed well with both bat and ball should definitely be James Neesham of New Zealand. There were some other prospects like Hardik Pandya and Gulbadin Naib as well who could appear in this list but Neesham wins this race by quite some margin.
Neesham did not lose hopes and showed great composure in the important match of final where his team was chasing 16 runs in the Super Over and he almost took his side home and tied there as well.
