CWC 2019: Three Indian players who might not be seen again in Indian colors

The ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 is just a match away from finding its winner as the final match will be played between England and New Zealand will decide who will lift the trophy at the Lord’s Cricket Ground on 14th July, 2019. The two teams that got eliminated in the semi-finals we’re India and Australia which were also the top two teams respectively at the end of League Stage.

Though India had a terrific entire season but just a few iffy decisions and as Virat Kohli mentioned ’45 minutes of bad cricket’ ruled them out of this tournament. This not only left the entire dressing room shattered but also the millions of Indian fans in tears. This World Cup may not only be the last world cup for some of the Indian players but it seems that some of the players have played their last One Day match as well.

Let’s have a look at three such probable Indian cricketers who might not be seen in this format in the Indian colors again.

#1 Dinesh Karthik

Dinesh Karthik was a part of the Indian Team since the beginning of this World Cup and his selection gave immense happiness to his fans as his experience was considered over the talent of Rishabh Pant. But he was not part of the Playing XI in the initial few matches.

In the two innings in which he got to bat in this tournament, he could manage to have just 14 runs to his name and most importantly when the team needed him the most, which was in the semi-final match, he failed miserably. This may result in axing of this player from the Indian Cricket in this format.

#2 Kedar Jadhav

One could not have imagined the name of Kedar Jadhav to appear in this list as the batting all-rounder was an integral part of this team before the start of this tournament. But just after a few matches in the beginning, he was ruled from the team because of his poor performance.

With young all-rounders like Krunal Pandya and Vijay Shankar grooming in the side and Hardik Pandya already there, it will be really difficult for the selectors to accommodate him in the side which may result in an end of his ODI career.

#3 MS Dhoni

The most painful name to see appearing in this list is of one of the best Indian players ever, MS Dhoni. There were speculations before the start of this World Cup that Dhoni will retire immediately after the 2019 CWC. Though there is no such information coming from the side of now but a big possibility of his retirement is there.

Just after the semi-final match, Indian captain Virat Kohli told the press that Dhoni have not told anything to them regarding his retirement but he left captaincy and Test Cricket without telling anyone beforehand, we can expect something similar happening this time as well.
