Brendan Rodgers team might have had a weak start as compared to the explosiveness last year where they finished as runners up in the league table by a marginal difference in the points with the winners.

The team seems to be on a good form lately as they recently entered the fifth round of the FA Cup after beating Bolton 2-1. They were narrowly defeated the semi finals of the League Cup by Chelsea in the last minutes. Liverpool has also qualified for the last 32 of the Europa Cup and will play host to Besiktas this coming week.

The question whether Brendan Rodgers will let Daniel Sturridge play the upcoming game is still not decided.
