West Bengal: BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya now has ‘Z’ security, bulletproof car.

This decision is taken due to the attack on Nadda's convoy.

BJP president JP Nadda’s convoy was attacked in West Bengal four days ago. Nadda was not injured, but other leaders, including BJP national general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya, were injured. Against this backdrop, the security of Kailash Vijayvargiya has now been levelled up.

Kailash Vijayvargiya has now been provided Z-grade security and will also have a bulletproof vehicle. Prior to this, he had Y-level security.

In West Bengal, there is a lot of tension between the BJP and the Trinamool Congress. Leaders of both parties are making strong allegations. Moreover, activists also appear to be aggressive. Due to this, the security of Kailash Vijayvargiya seems to have been enhanced.

With the Assembly elections coming up in Bengal next year, the political climate there is heating up. Since Kailash Vijayvargiya is in charge, he is constantly going to different places. Therefore, his safety is also important for the BJP. The BJP has strongly criticized Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee after the attack on Nadda’s convoy. Besides, the Union Home Ministry has taken action in the case and three IPS officers from West Bengal have also been summoned to Delhi.

What is Z-grade security?

The Z-grade security system has a total of 22 security guards, including four to five NSG commands. This includes Delhi Police, ITBP or CRPF commandos and local police personnel.
