Tablighi Jamaat head Maulana Saad Khandalvi has been traced at  Delhi

Tablighi Jamaat head Maulana Saad Khandalvi has finally been traced at his residence in Zakir Nagar. After this, it is now being confirmed whether he has been infected by novel coronavirus or not. Saad kin had earlier told the Police that he was in quarantine.

Now Delhi Police will be going to make him tested by doctors and ask a question from him over a video call. After that decision will be taken that whether Saad will be shifted to a government quarantine center or he will be allowed to stay at his residence till then he will complete his self-isolation period is yet to be taken.

 

Tablighi Jammat head Saad and six other members from Tablighi Jamaat have violated government orders and holding of congregation despite a ban on public gatherings. Whereas police are searching for other members.

Last week Crime branch issued a notice in which Maulana Saad replied that “he was in self-isolation. Delhi Police had later search documents and information related to the congregation”.

Delhi Police said to media that ” Zamat head was not able to trace at his home in Zakir Nagar. Teams were also sent to his and other houses at Nizamuddin and Muzaffarnagar to investigate his family members”.

 

When Police tracked him down Saad was staying with his relative in self-isolation. Police have asked for Saad’s medical reports from his family members also.

The Markaz representative had, however, refuse allegations that Saad escaped. Markaz representative told to media that ” Markaz chief would be available whenever police will be asked him to appear for questioning”.

 

Meanwhile, Police are also planning to question Saad’s son, Maulana Yousuf, who had issued statements and upload a video on the YouTube channel, Delhi Markaz, asking the followers to join prayers at mosques for challenging the social distancing norms.
