Things you should know about Nadimarg Massacre

Most of us watched the movie “Kashmir Files” (not delving into the facts whether the movie is propaganda, etc or not). Do you remember the clip where militants were wearing combat dresses and dragged Kashmiri Pandits out of their house and made them stand in a line, then shot them dead including the child.

The same incident happened with Kashmiri Pandits in Nadimarg. We all know about the exodus of 1990s after which many Kashmiri Pandits left their home land Kashmiri but few were living in South Kashmir Village – Nadimarg because the government promised them to provide protection to them.

But on March 23, 2003, the Police didn’t make their promises as militants wearing combat dress dragged Kashmiri Pandits from their house and lined up 11 men, 11 women, and two children.

They mercilessly shot them dead including those children. Children are considered the most innocent and beautiful creature of God

They don’t even know who Kashmiri Pandits are, Kashmir, etc.

It was alleged that Zia Mustafa, district Commander of Lashkar – e – Taiba was the mastermind behind Nadimarg Massacre. He was killed while identifying militant hideouts in a forest in Poonch.

Other accused were killed in encounters (2003). Apart from this, 7 Policemen were found guilty of dereliction of duty and chargesheet baad filed against them and Zia Mustafa ( June 9, 2003 ). Though the case was closed to prosecution’s inability to produce other witnesses and delay.
