The Ministry of Railways, on its Facebook page, posted, “Indian Railways has stepped up its efforts to provide wider options to the travelling public in their choice of meals through e-catering services. This facility has been extended to 25 more pairs of trains from 14 pairs initially started on all-India circuit. For supply of food on select locations for the 39 pairs of trains, Indian Railways has tied up with IRCTC food plazas and fast-food units.

The e-catering facility is available through three modes of booking i.e. Meals on Call, Meals through SMS and Meals on online booking on IRCTC’s web-portal. However, passengers with wait-listed tickets can book on call or SMS only”.
